The meeting will take place at the Specialized Aero Works hangar located at 63120 Powell Butte Rd, Bend, OR 97701, which is the old red hangar, second hangar south of the FBO (SkyService).
Please RSVP so we can estimate the number of chairs needed.
Initially the club started with a 1978 Cessna 172N, N738MR. It had been newly-updated with new paint, updated avionics, dual Garmin G5s, 4-place intercom, and has a more powerful 180 HP Lycoming engine STC with increased gross weight. Useful load is 986 lbs.; a true 4 place airplane.
N9934G is a 1974 Cessna A150L Aerobat. It was with Butler Aviation in Redmond for a number of years, so some of you have possibly even flown it before! It is set up as a basic VFR aircraft and has a Garmin GTX 335 Transponder with internal GPS and an Artex 345 ELT (406), along with a King KX 175B NavCom.
If you’re ready to take your passion for aviation to new heights, joining the Deschutes Flying Club is easy! Start by completing the Membership Application below.
As space is available for new members, invitations to join will be sent out based on the application submission date. At that time, the $500 one-time initiation fee will be due, along with your first month's dues, and then you’ll also schedule your aircraft checkout(s) to get started flying with the club.
We look forward to welcoming you to our community of enthusiastic pilots!
The Deschutes Flying Club is an equal opportunity organization and will not allow discrimination based upon age, ethnicity, ancestry, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, or any other status prohibited by applicable law.
We are seeking additional aircraft to add to the club via lease. When an aircraft is leased to the club it can reduce expenses for the aircraft owner since the club would cover the cost of the hangar, insurance, some of the maintenance costs, plus an annual lease and hourly rate based on flight time.
You can learn more on our Leaseback page and please spread the word to aircraft owners you know!
