The membership application is the first step to joining the Deschutes Flying Club. Some of the additional steps in the process will be:
- Reviewing and accepting the Club Bylaws and Operating Procedures
- Your certificates, citizenship, ratings, and medical exam will be verified during your aircraft checkout
- Once you are invited to join the club, your $500 application fee will be due and once received you will be added to our scheduling system
- Your aircraft checkout will be performed by a CFI acceptable to the club. If you have an existing CFI just let us know and we will get them added to our approved list
- Monthly membership dues may be adjusted by the Board of Directors based on the current and planned expenses of the club. Occasional assessments may be required to cover unexpected expenses and will be shared equally by all club members
- If you fail to pay your membership dues or aircraft rental expenses in a timely fashion your access to the scheduling system will be revoked until full payment has been received
